We Strongly Urge You To Contact Your Representatives To Prevent Your Rights From Being Taken Away!
Last week in our blog post, “URGENT – Your Rights Are About To Be Severely Limited By New Laws Favoring Big Pharma,” we explained how several bills in the House of Representatives are aimed at destroying your right to sue Big Pharma and others who cause injury because of defective drugs and defective medical equipment. We still strongly urge you act now to voice your opinion before these bills become laws.
Big pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, and other parties affiliated with the medical field are attempting to limit your ability to recover compensation for injuries caused by defective products. Dangerous drugs and malfunctioning medical equipment cause injuries to thousands of people each year. Large corporations and their insurance companies don’t want you to have the ability to file claims for damages because they are more interested in profits over patient safety.
These bills are NOT patient friendly. The bills favor corporations and Big Pharma. Stand up for your rights by contacting your representatives to tell them to vote NO on these bills. You can get more information about how to contact members of the U.S. Congress on USA.gov. This website also gives you instructions on how you can contact President Donald Trump to tell him you don’t want your rights taken away regarding defective product litigation.
Current Status of These Bills
The House of Representatives is rushing these bills through the House to send them to the Senate for a vote. You must act NOW to voice your opposition to these bills. Congress must protect the rights of innocent victims who are injured by dangerous drugs and defective medical devices.
The Congressional website provides the current status of the bills. For example, H.R. 985 Fairness in Class Action Litigation Act has passed the house according to the most recent update. We urge you to search for each of the bills below and track the progress. Contact your representatives before it is too late!
- R. 725 Innocent Party Protection Act
- R. 720 Lawsuit Abuse Reduction Act
- R. 985 Fairness in Class Action Litigation Act
- R. 906 Furthering Asbestos Claims Transparency Act
- R. 1215 Protecting Access to Care Act
- R. 732 Stop Settlement Slush Funds Act
